Right now I'm taking something called Focalin which is like concentrated Ritalin. It's $50 dollars a month, which is insane. It's because it doesn't yet have a generic.
Adderal and Ritalin both have generics. We don't have money - I feel bad spending $50 dollars because I can't pay attention on top of the other meds I take. What do you guys think, even though this is working for me right now, should I try to see if my psychiatrist will let me switch? I just want to bouce ideas off of you. =D
Thanks!
EDIT: After more research it appears there is a generic for Focalin... I just had the pharamist tell me there wasn't...

The two generic names I have come accross in medical journals linked with focalin are Dexmethylphenidate and d-methylphenidate hydrochloride. I can't guarantee those names, but at least you have something to ask your psyciatrist about. Like I said I can't guarantee those facts so please check them with a health care professional.
