And I've started Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code.
It's the Story of Dinah from the bible. It's told from her perspective. I was hesitant to pick it up as I don't tend to like retellings and the bible isn't really my thing. I got it in book club back in December and am trying to read/listen to more books on my shelves so I gave it a shot and was pleasantly surprised. Need to see if the author has any other books.

I've recently finished two books: The Wicked King, and Two Dark Reigns. Now I'm waiting for the next books in their respectable series' (which I cannot reccommend them both enough).

I really love The Cruel Prince and The Wicked King. I got to the Wicked King when it came out. I love her endings and I can't wait to find out what happens next. I want to get to three dark crowns series.

I didn't think I would enjoy them as much as I did, pretty sure I screamed at some bits. :')
And yes, you should get the series! I should probably buy the first two books for myself considering my stepbrother allowed me to borrow his copies when he reccommended them to me.
Anyways, I'm currently trying to read volume one of Fullmetal Alchemist.

I own the first book in the series but haven't gotten to it. Maybe I'll end up getting to it this year.
Also, I really enjoyed full metal alchemist. I have a few volumes to finish but I'm hoping I'll finish them sometime soon.

I've finished The da Vinci code today and I must say I really liked it till one point (about half into the book?). Then the events became far-fetched in my opinion. Nonetheless I enjoyed the novel. The thing is I don't intend to read other Brown's books; I was interested in them until I read the blurbs - the stories are basically all the same! Langdon seems to meet a woman somehow related to the victim and work together in basically every book. Maybe I'm mistaken, but it's really boring to read a few stories that follow the same pattern.

That's on my TBR for this year. I've heard mixed things. Some people say it's really slow and others agree it's slow but say it pays off. Do you like it so far?

Meanwhile I'm into Brown's Angels and Demons. I think Da Vinci Code was better and even though A&D isn't that bad, I guess it's gonna be the last of Brown's books that I'll read.

I enjoyed it. The books are quite dense though so I probably won't get to the third book until later in the year. I am taking a trip in July, hopefully, and it's about 8 hours one way so I might make that one of the books I try to get to during the course of the trip. I might listen to it and another at the same time though since the audio book is 32 hours or something like that.
Dan Brown is decent but he's not a favorite. I have read Angel's and Demon's, Da Vinci Code and Inferno. I think is books are pretty formulaic and I know a lot of people don't like him due to that. I don't think they are anything special but I find them to be fast reads. I got through Inferno in a day. That one had an interesting premise.
