I'm re-reading The Witcher Saga by Andrzej Sapkowski. It's been one of my fav series since I read it in 2012. When I started re-reading I was surprised at how much I'd forgotten ;p
This is the 2014 cover of the first book in the saga in the original language. The English title is 'Blood of elves'. I sincerely recommend it to everyone that loves medieval fantasy as much as I do. I had the great privilege of reading the original, but I hope the translations are done well.

This is actually one of my most anticipated reads of the year. I am only 20 pages in and I do like it. The writing is hard to follow but that doesn't take away from it.
It's based on Black Lives Matter and all the police shootings that have taken place. I believe it is an own voices book as well.
Finished The Hate U Give and reading:
I've read call of the wild before and I remember not really being super engaged. So, I am going to read:
I swear I am actually gonna read this book. I started reading Harold Fry and was not able to get into it. I am in a weird reading mood so I decided to read something I have been wanting to read for a while.

Textbooks for class.
I go through phases with my reading; I either read everything I can get my hands on or I don't read for months. Haven't been reading much lately but I am hoping to get some library books within the next few weeks.

This is my second time trying to read hidden figures and I could not get into it so I am reading:
It's an alternate history book where the Nazi's won the war. I think it has a bit of a supernatural element to it as well. However, I am only on chapter two so I could be wrong. It's part of a duology and I'll either read the second one this month or next.

It's about a girl in Norway (I think) who blogged about her experience with a form of leukemia from 2008 - 2010ish. I'm halfway through right now and it's just so sad but I do recommend it though, it's very good!

I learned that there was a final book to this series so I got it at the library. I read the other books a long time ago, though, so I don't remember much about them.

I just finished a book and I was so annoyed with it and I just...I hated it. Glad I only spent $9 on it. I'll be donating that to the library or the used book store at some point in the near future.
This is what I am going to try and read next:
I don't know if I'll actually finish it. I tend to not like a lot of classics. I've read a few and the only ones I've liked were to kill a mockingbird and farenheit 451. This is for book club and there are two other books I can read instead. I plan on reading at least one of them after this one anyway.

This is what I am reading next. It's shorter, 320 pages, I am hoping that it is way better than Based on a True Story!

Almost done with this. Hoping more of my holds come in from the library soon.

Another low rating! I really enjoyed the first 120 pages but then the 'secret' or reason for the events in the book were basically revealed and it was pretty anti-climatic. After that the book was really slow till the last 30-50 pages. I rated it 2.5
Now I am reading:
I am actually not sure I'll end up liking it. But it is annotated by the author so I am curious to read what they have to say and I know the annotations won't make sense if I don't read them.
