I've wanted to be a marine biologist, a mechanical engineer, and a chef (at various stages throughout my childhood), but now I'm aiming for theoretical physicist. xD

I wanted to be a Firefighter/Paramedic since I was 7 years old. Last December I graduated from the EMT Academy and realized that I'm not sure if that's the right career for me.
I've now changed my major to psychology and would love to one day work in an adolescent ward in a psych hospital.
But until then I guess I'll keep looking for a job as an EMT and see how that goes. I'm not quite ready to give that up yet.
Who the hell knows. (=
Although, when I was little I wanted to be a criminal mastermind. No joke. I thought it would be cool. Wear all black, have people tremble at the sound of my name, have an ominous sounding alias...etc. etc. Lol I got over that. Here are a few of the things I'm considering.
Army medical career
Psychologist
Social worker
Lawyer
Politician
Writer
Occupational Therapist
Hostage negotiator
CIA Agent
Photographer
The list really does go on forever.
You know the sad thing?
I'm not exactly sure what I want, but I do know I wanna be bloody rich! lol how sad is that(=
I also want to be happy
I believe in pink<3
I'm not so great with advice. Could I interest you in a sarcastic comment instead?

3-5: Doctor
6-8: Teacher
9-11: Author
11-13: Lawyer/Author
14-17: Computer Programmer/Web designer/Editor
18-: Unsure, but something along the lines of web designer/author/editor. Right now, I just want some sort of job. My "dream job" is unclear. It's not the job that makes the job, it's the people that make the job worthwhile. As long as there are people who I get get along with, and enjoy being with, then my dream job will be fulfilled.

Ahh loads of things but most pretty average, there was the police/ambulance/nurse/firefighter stage I never had the teacher or vet stages though
Also pilot (or 'plane driver' as I called it lol), actor, doctor, driver for the police, rock star, lawyer, stunt double, banker, and pilot again...why the random combination of stuff I don't know
Edit: also engineer, inventor, author, politician

I've wanted to have my own animated series.
When I was younger all I could sometimes talk about was my ideas for my own tv shows.
I even drew up the characters. My avatar pic is actually one of my characters for a show idea.
Her name is Karhrie (car-ree) & she grew up at a church, never really knowing who her real parents were. The nuns & people always tell her that she was just found on the steps of the church (they're actually lying...), but she has vague memories of being visited by a man (I bet you can guess who that man was) as a child.
Karhrie is a gentle soul, she's quite calm most of the times, & is very sweet, kind, talented, loving, determined, ambitious, hard working, & smart. She cared for the children who stayed at the church orphanage & was called the "Little mother," because she seemed like a mom to the kids there.
As a child, she had an innocent looking demeanor & was often assumed weak & naive. Though, she was indeed weak physically, she contains a strong & stubborn heart.
She often took it offensively because she doesn't like being called or assumed weak & naive, & would lock herself in her room & be moody.
But then one day, she meets a wise man who sees what real strength Karhrie contains & explains to her how he sees Karhrie, a child bearing the soul, mind, & heart of an concealed warrior.
(A part of the quote the wise man said)"...You have the same righteous and noble sense that many heroes posses. You aim to protect others in need & often put others before yourself...You have the heart of a guardian, a warrior, no, a hero possibly, concealed away behind that placid face of yours. That's why others can't see it right away how strong you truly are. Though... not strong externally (laugh), I admit, but inside, you are...."
This enlightens Karhrie & soon, the man becomes her mentor & trains her to be stronger than she is, to protect and defend the weak. He trains her on how to evade, heal, fight, & some other techniques.
.... And I shouldn't write so much about her =P, it's probably too much to read... She's not even the main, MAIN, character of the show anyway...
But anyways, I have more ideas & characters f which I'm so eager to share, but am too hesitate to share nowadays (fear of having work stolen & etc.)...
But I really want to share them so badly because I know I won't be able to make animated shows when I'm older....
I won't be able to handle the Entertainment businesses....
And my father doesn't support me... so.... I can only just dream a very unlikely contingency... =(
Embrace and love yourself,
Even the more darker and imperfect part of yourself,
No one knows you more than yourself,
And sometimes you can count only on yourself...

As a kid, to the present:
Firefighter, policeman, veterinarian, nurse, doctor, teacher, arcade game maker, psychologist, scientist, writer, actress, dancer, singer, guitarist, drummer, mother, traveler, therapist, social worker (I never could figure that one out because they annoy me to death ) and artist.
Still wanna be a teacher (Kindergarten, to be specific, I <3 little kids) a writer, an actress, a singer, a dancer, a mother, and an artist. I'm definitely gonna be a mom (When the time comes, of course) and I'm taking theater and dance my freshman year of high school (next year) and those two plus art in my sophomore year.

When I was in elementary school, I wanted to be a veterinarian.
Then I realized I'd have to cut into animals and possibly even put them to sleep...
I decided I'd rather just own a bunch of pets instead. xD
When I was going through my "antisocial" stage in middle school and early high school, I wanted to be a librarian.
Eventually, I decided I wasn't going to make enough money with that profession.
I decided to just read a bunch of books instead. =P
At one point, I wanted to be a geneticist (because I enjoyed determining the potential fur colors for small animals).
Then my friend told me I'd have to be REALLY good at math and science to achieve a degree in genetics.
I decided I'd determine animal genotypes just for fun. =/
Finally, I decided on a career in psychology. I started off aiming for a career as a clinical psychologist, but after applying to several graduate schools last year, I decided to pursue a career in marriage and family therapy instead. Right now, it's better suited for my life goals. I may go beyond the masters degree in the future and get the doctorate degree... but for now, I'm quite content with the direction in which my life is heading. =) I chose a psych-related career six years ago, and I'm even more convinced today than I was back then that this is the correct career path for me.
So hang in there, guys! It may take you a while, but if you keep pursuing your interests and trying out new things, you'll find that "dream" career sooner or later!

Im 16, and I'm aspiring to be a successful musician. I've been working with some friends and trying to get some publicity. The only thing holding me back is the lack of a good microphone. I've wanted this since I was 10 when my sister introduced me to my favorite band, Blink 182. In the last 6 years, I've learned how to play drums, bass, guitar, and I can sing. I really hope I can make it.

From the time I was little up until the third grade I wanted to work at a humane society. From fourth grade until present I've wanted to be an infectious disease doctor, but this year I'm debating between infectious disease doctor and something with computers.

I've wanted to be about a zillion different things I used to change my mind every week xD
But right now I want to be a Youth, Children and Young Families worker within a church setting ideally, although any setting I guess or maybe a counsellor/therapist, we'll see where life goes!

Looking back, I think I was always destined to be a teacher at some point. I remember sitting on a chair in front of all my stuffed animals and "teaching" them letters and numbers and stuff.
As I got older and actually started to think about my career, I wanted to be an architect, then a vet, a speech therapist, then a barrister.
I was studying Law at college but had to leave for health reasons. So I started working as a Nursery Teacher in 2008 and am still doing it now, albeit in a different nursery.
However, my dream is to become a Paediatric Nurse.

When I was really little I wanted to be a doctor, I used to dress up as a doctor Then I wanted to be a social worker and I was warned off that as a career, then I thought about being a psychiatrist then I went back to the social work option.
I went against everyone's advice and I have completed my degree in social work and I'm now looking for a job as one

For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to be a special education teacher. However, I am going to school for psychology, chemical dependency and addiction studies, with a minor in women studies. If that doesn't work out -- I'd definitely switch back to my teaching but there's no jobs where I am for teaching so...
Do you wanna come with me? 'Cause if you do, then I should warn you - you're gonna see all sorts of things. Ghosts from the past. Aliens from the future. The day the Earth died in a ball of flame. It won't be quiet, it won't be safe, and it won't be calm. But I'll tell you what it will be: The trip of a lifetime!

I want to be a singer as soon as possible, and a mother. These are the most important things in my life.
MONACHOPSIS
the subtle but persistent feeling of being out of place, as maladapted to your surroundings as a seal on a beach—lumbering, clumsy, easily distracted, huddled in the company of other misfits, unable to recognize the ambient roar of your intended habitat, in which you’d be fluidly, brilliantly, effortlessly at home.

I wanted to be a train conductor or the lion king (despite being a girl)... Now I'd like to sing or write, but since that's kind of unlikely, I want to be either a criminal psychologist or an attorney.
