When I was younger I wanted to be an 'animal rescuer'! But now I'm not sure what I'd like to do!
Some Riot - Elbow
A friend of mine grows his very own brambles
They twist all around him 'til he can't move
Beautiful, quivering, chivalrous shambles
What is my friend trying to prove?
...I think when he's drinking he's drowning some riot
What is my friend trying to hide?
...And it's breaking my heart to pour like the rain
Brother of mine, don't run with those fuckers
When will my friend start singing again?
When will my friend start singing again?

When i was quite young i wanted to be a teacher or a veterinarian. Then a singer, next a doctor. Now i want to be a book editor.
From day one I talked about getting out
But not forgetting about
How all my worst fears are letting out
He said, "Why put a new address on the same old loneliness?"
When breathing just passes the time
Until we all just get old and die

When I was really little, I wanted to be an artist. Now I still love art, but I'm thinking something in the science/psychology field. Not sure exactly what, but hey, at least that's better than the "I don't know" response I've been using since 1st grade

My dream is to be a famous author, I already consider myself a writer but I want my books published. Also, I wish to be a neurologist. I am fascinated with the human brain. Also, I am mystified how my brain is still functioning correctly when I only have half of my brain getting fluid throughout. But, being an author has been my dream for 6 years, today is my anniversary for writing and I have found that I have written over thirty starters, finished five. I am writing a series at the current moment called Partners. It's a Crime Fiction book about a partnership, well, the partnership spreads further than Cody and Natalie (the main characters who fall in love but rules and regulations restrict them from telling of their relationship), it falls upon James (Lieutenant Douglas), Jason (Lieutenant Dickson), Brody (Doctor McGuire, the Chief Medical Examiner), Ben (Jennings, a senior C.S.I) and later on in the series Nick (Dillard, a new C.S.I). The crime books are my favourite, but I have also written horror, sci-fi and an assortment of other genres.

Ok . . . well, first (for about 12-13 years) I wanted to be a vet. That was ALL I wanted to do. Now, it's still an option, I guess, but I feel lead to be a missionary, as well as a doctor. Which I guess gives ya missionary doctor.

Lol, all of you guys changed yours like 10 times and mine has stayed the same my whole life. I've always wanted to be a ballet dancer and I still do. But that doesn't really pay the bills, so depending on what company I get into and how well I get paid and how long my career lasts, I also want to be a nurse practitioner.
I act like s**t don’t phase me,
Inside it drives me crazy!
My insecurities could eat me alive
But then i see my baby
Suddenly i'm not crazy!
It all makes sense when i look into her eyes

I want to be a music theatre actress. My goal is to get on Broadway and get a Tony.
But if acting doesn't work, I'd want to be either a paleontologist or work at my local science museum.

I actually had no idea what I truly wanted to do with my life until about a month ago. I figured, I love kids and I want to live in San Francisco, why not be a nanny? So after I graduate this December, I'm applying to nanny school so I can get the training and certification I need!
STRANGER! if you, passing, meet me, and desire to speak to me, why
should you not speak to me?
And why should I not speak to you?

This is still what I want to be, and I am finally pulling my head in and getting serious about school work and my books. My teachers are impressed, I'm picking up new techniques and I am nearly ready to send one of my books to my editor

I want to do something in Criminal Justice. Either a detective for sex crimes, or a lawyer for sex crimes. It would be cool to be on the radio too, or like a DJ (I love music), but what I'm taking high school classes for is Criminal Justice.

When I was younger (probably around five years old), I wanted to be a vet. After that, before I started at secondary school, I wanted to teach design and technology. Then, for several years, I wanted to be an actress (I'd still love to be an actress, although probably less as a career more as an amateur). Currently, I would absolutely love to be a musician. It's a pretty unlikely career obviously, so I'm not going to pursue it unless an opportunity arises. In a couple of years, when I'm an adult and I've done more training and perfecting, I'm going to audition for Cirque du Soleil. Again, it's one of those goals that I can't predict whether it will ever become a reality or not, but with that one I'm going to be much more relentless in pursuing it, mainly because it IS possible. Academically, I'm going to work towards eventually getting a degree in some form of art so if all else fails I can get a job within the art community, which is also another (less prominent) dream of mine.
What can I say? I have a lot of potentially unrealistic aspirations, but I also have the determination that's never failed me yet <3

Before, I always wanted to be a person who works in a Zoo. Now, my dream job is to become and engineer, and an epic one at that! My dad is really high in the engineering business, so many people want to have him on their building site. He was the SSM, Senior Site Manager, when Siemens built the largest gas turbine in the world (not sure if it's still the largest one in the world, but still)! And I would LOVE to be in his position, because I've always loved working with wood and metal, designing stuff, and building things! We're building a house at the moment, and I'm helping out whenever I can, and I love it!!!

I always wanted to do something working with children - even when I was a young child myself. For pretty much my whole life I wanted to be a teacher, until recent interest changes. Now I'm very interested in going into psychology and counseling.

I've wanted to be a vet. Or a photographer and travel to different places in the world. I'd get to see many places, and make money off it to be able to travel more. I've always wanted to see the world.

Oh geez.. as a kid I changed my mind every month! I wanted to be a soccer player, a dancer, a tennis player, an architect, an artist, a musician, a singer in a band, a pop star, a detective, a vet, a surgeon, the list goes on forever..
What am I actually working towards doing with my life now? I want to be a writer.. Journalist, freelancer, whatever.. I love writing, it's something I'm passionate about and actually decent at.. I've done some freelance work for free before, now it's just a matter of getting paid for it.
Also, I really want to coach a kids soccer team... I absolutely love the sport, I played for over 10 years for god's sake.. One year I was on 3 teams at once On Saturdays I'd go from one game to the next to the next. I had to stop due to some health problems, and it's too late for me to get back into it now.. So I'd love to do that. Give me a chance to experience the sport again, and hopefully teach some kids about the sport the way most of my coaches did for me. (:

I don't think growing up I ever really had any idea what I wanted to do long-term down the road when I 'grew up' but I know that for the past 5 years I've been working towards becoming a police officer and now I can't imagine doing anything else for the rest of my days.
