Absolutely and completely adore The World/Inferno Friendship Society. Their style is very outrageous, and is more or less an acquired taste. If you believe in anarchy, true heroes, love, hate, and melancholy, you might dig them.

Right now my taste in music is changing rapidly. I love music in my native language, mostly Rock and Punk, but - to my eternal shame - I've also got a weakness for those singer/songwriter-guys...
A few favourites:
Brit-Pop: Oasis
German Punk: Tocotronic
German Rock: Element of Crime
Russian Rock: Аквариум
(no idea what genre): Two Gallants
Classic Rock: Queen. Dire Straits.

I won't judge you for Fall Out Boy^ =)
Panic at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, Simple Plan, My Chemical Romance, Forgive Durden, Hedley, The Academy Is..., Forever The Sickest Kids, The Cab, Mika, Marianas Trench, and others.
The great artists of our time are the ones who created something timeless. But it was never them defining it that way.
Everyone has a story. What's yours?

My favourite band is Queen
My favourite song is the pingu theme
that or the end by bullet for my valentine
faith is a bluebird that you see from afar
it is real and as sure as the first evening star
can't touch it, or buy it, or lock it up tight
but its there just the same
making things turn out right

My favourite band has to be New Found Glory. I haven't been a fan from the start, I haven't even listened to their first album but I have listened to the albums released after that (except International Superheroes of Hardcore) and I am a real big fan of them.
Same to Kill Hannah. I got their first album years ago and I was just a little bit of a fan and then I listened to their second album and became a bigger fan. I even have the band logo (a heart with an aimy style thing on it, I cannot think of the word) tattoo'd on me.
I have seen both bands about 3/4 times each and don't think I would ever miss a concert. As for my favourite song, there is way too many.

than live forever.
We will all die so gloriously, that having ever lived will seem like folly.

I'm usually a strictly metal girlie. Metal ftw, forever. I'm freaking myself out at the moment in that my musician of the moment is the ever-folksy Yann Tiersen. How weird is that? You can't tell me some of his things aren't insanely beautiful and melancholy and magical, though. Good stuff, if slightly atypical for me.

Favorite songs, each one really narrows down my life...
"The Reason" Hoobastank (reminds me of my cousin & made it her song, she died recently, we were the same age and facing her death made me question my own life and freed me from being a lone wolf)
"Simon" Lifehouse (reminds me of High School (I hated High School, was constantly lone and depressed))
"Who I am hates who I've been" Relient K (reminds me that I'm changing)
