"I remember when there used to be colors all over,
and I could wake up and barely open my eyes,
Having a simple mind,
Feeling so euphoric,
Not knowing what later lurks in my lifetime,
Wanting to stay in this moment always,
Now my days are fading every time i blink,
Foreseeing images,
Flashing in my head,
Violent voices,
Wanting me dead,
Opened eyes start to burn now,
The sun is just too much
And when I close them the darkness engulfs me"
Eh, screw it. The entire Cause of Death : Life. Propably gonna be my theme today.
The risk I took was calculated, but boy, am I bad at math.

And I'll use you as a warning sign
That if you talk enough sense then you'll lose your mind
And I'll use you as a focal point
So I don't lose sight of what I want
And I've moved further than I thought I could
But I missed you more than I thought I would
And I'll use you as a warning sign
That if you talk enough sense then you'll lose your mind
And I found love where it wasn't supposed to be
Right in front of me
Talk some sense to me [2x]
And I'll use you as a makeshift gauge
Of how much to give and how much to take
Oh I'll use you as a warning sign
That if you talk enough sense then you'll lose your mind
Oh and I found love where it wasn't supposed to be
Right in front of me
Talk some sense to me
And I found love where it wasn't supposed to be
Right in front of me
Talk some sense to me [3x]

Yell at me, I want to
Be your light that shines
But now the ground is shaking, and I might fall
I wish that I could say
I wish that I could be your
Evil in a closet

So no one told you life was gonna be this way *clapclapclapclap*
Your job's a joke, you're broke; your love life's D.O.A.
It's like you're always stuck in second gear
When it hasn't been your day, your week, your month, or even your year, but
I'll be there for you (when the rain starts to pour)
I'll be there for you (like I've been there before)
I'll be there for you ('cause you're there for me toooooo)

The great truth is there isn't one
And it only gets worse since that conclusion
The irony of being an extension to nothing
And the force of inertia is now a vital factor
The risk I took was calculated, but boy, am I bad at math.

What have I become
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know goes away
In the end
And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt

"Now and then, it is wise to pause your pursuit of happiness and just be happy. Right now. As is."
I have no idea who said this. I found if posted on a billboard at church, and I like it. Sometimes, I find myself always working towards some goal that I think is going to give me this happiness I'm searching for, and that's all I'm invested in, that goal. I forget to take a step back, breathe, and look around at all the things that are making me happy in the 'here and now.'

I feel the fear takes hold
Afraid this hell I create is my own
Calm my franticness, I can't take it anymore,
This used to be my own world,
But now I've lost control

You don't really know what you got 'til it's gone,
Where'd you go?
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone
Where'd you go? I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone
Please come back home Please come back home

"You were right, about all of it. You were right. This is a place where horrible things happen. You were right to go - you're probably escaping disaster. Look at me, I practically grew up here. And you're right, it's hurt me in ways I'll probably never get over. I have a lot of memories of people, people I've lost forever, but I have a lot of other memories too. This is the place where I fell in love. The place where I found my family. This is where I learned to be a doctor, where I learned to take responsibility for someone else's life. And it's the place I met you so I figure this place has given me as much as it has taken from me. I've lived here as much as I've survived here, it just depends on how I look at it. I'm gonna choose to look at it that way and remember you that way."

Can't you see that you're smothering me?
Holding to tightly, afraid to lose control
Because everything you thought I would be
Is falling about, right in front of you.

I'm tired of being what you want me to be
Feeling so faithless, lost under the surface
Don't know what you're expecting of me
Put under the pressure of walking in your shoes
(Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow)
Every step that I take is another mistake to you
(Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow)
I've become so numb, I can't feel you there
Become so tired, so much more aware
I'm becoming this, all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you
Can't you see that you're smothering me,
Holding too tightly, afraid to lose control?
'Cause everything that you thought I would be
Has fallen apart right in front of you.
(Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow)
Every step that I take is another mistake to you.
(Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow)
And every second I waste is more than I can take.
I've become so numb, I can't feel you there,
Become so tired, so much more aware
I'm becoming this, all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you.
And I know
I may end up failing too.
But I know
You were just like me with someone disappointed in you.
I've become so numb, I can't feel you there,
Become so tired, so much more aware.
I'm becoming this, all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you.
I've become so numb, I can't feel you there.
(I'm tired of being what you want me to be)
I've become so numb, I can't feel you there.
(I'm tired of being what you want me to be)
