I’m not sure what’s happened. But the past couple of days or so when I’ve like gone to sign in on my Xbox, it’s been telling me password is incorrect. I changed my password hoping this would fix the issue. And yes it signed me in but since the issue has happened again, and I have entered my password correctly, and it will still me ‘ you have entered the incorrect password’ or something along those lines, so I’ve had to sign in by scanning a QR code and logging in via my phone, I’ve managed to temporarily ‘fix’ the issue by changing my Xbox settings to skip sign in. However I don’t like this and now feel my Xbox account is not secure.
So I’m just wondering has anyone else experience this issue and if so how did they fix it ?
I had a similar issue with my email account about a month back. Microsoft have been aware of this issue affecting Hotmail accounts since October 2025 and are yet to offer a date that this will be fixed but with it now also affecting signing in on Xbox I’m hoping someone can help by offering a solution to this issue.

I did a quick search and it suggested removing and readding the profile and signing on directly from the Microsoft website vs your Xbox. I’m hoping someone comes along with better suggestions. It might also help to see if Xbox has a live chat service or even a place to submit a help desk ticket because it almost seems like a Microsoft issue and not a you issue.

Yeah I tried the Xbox chat to an agent thing and it was Ai bot and was really unhelpful. It’s a issue with Microsoft I just wish they would fix it or give a time frame for it to be fixed ..
