Tattoos and Piercings This forum is to ask questions and discuss tattoos, piercings and other aesthetic body modifications.
First of all, what are your opinions? I dont want black ink, because it stands out too much, and I dont like it. I want it on the underside of my wrist, with either "Atelophobia" or "Eremophobia" in a script style of writing.
Secondly...How much will it hurt? I'm skinny, and my arms are real bony and I'm allergic to pain . Someone said you can get a numbing cream that helps - does it?
I've always liked the idea of white ink tattoos as they are quite subtle. And this helps for hiding it as well, nice thinking
I would imagine it hurting a fair bit on the underside of your wrist as there is barely any flesh there. I've never tried, nor actually heard of anyone using a numbing cream, but I would consult with the tattoo artist first as it may have some effects on the ink used.

Never heard of a numbing cream... but I can tell you, most people say it KILLS on the inside of the wrist, but I didn't find that to be so.. the one that hurt for me was the ribcage.. but I have a high pain tolerance. I was never a huge fan of white ink, but I've started to see some really cool ones lately. Go for it! (= What do the words mean? Sorry, lol..

I'm not so great with advice. Could I interest you in a sarcastic comment instead?

Reason: Misspelled *white and *hurt
I think white ink is entirely a waste of money, unless you want to get it touched up all the time. White ink doesn't hold very well, so you'd be basically paying to get a tattoo that's just going to quickly fade away.
I wouldn't really recommend white ink.. but..
It's a bit controversial.. and if you don't take care of them the right way for about 3 to 4 months it won't turn out very well.. but you could always get a UV tattoo.. like a black light tattoo. Certain colors won't appear at all without the black light.. and some come up lightly. Just a suggestion. They're pretty great if done right. My friend has words on his knuckles, and you can barely see them without the black light.

My friend has one in her wrist with white ink if you don’t know she has one you could never guess it’s there you have to really look into it to see it. About the pain she did say it hurt a little more than her other tattoo(she has one in her back) because it’s a sensitive area but not like really bad pain just tolerable pain.
Everyone is born right-handed. Only the greatest overcome it.
Depending on your skin tone white tattoos are very difficult to see and also white tattoos fade very quickly. Unless you get it outlined in another color I wouldn't get it.
And there is such thing as numbing cream but I don't think you will be allowed to use it while you are getting a tattoo because of the risk of infection.

There's really no point in white ink tattoos. Most likely, it will have faded away in a couple of years, and then you just wasted your money on something that disappeared.
They are cute, but they fade quickly, so it's more of a temporary tattoo.
It will definitely hurt since you have a low pain tolerance and are very skinny.

I myself wouldn't get a tattoo in just white ink. My tattoo has white ink in it and you can barely tell the difference between the ink and my skin. And I would like to be able to see my tattoo.

I've had a tattoo on the inside of my wrist, and it *did* hurt. But the pain was not that bad.
Honestly, it just felt like a cat scratch on a sunburn.
I don't know if I would get white, because it's going to fade. All tattoos will.
So, you're going to want it to show up.
So maybe do it a lighter color that's darker then white, but still light.
Like, maybe a light blue?
Not to offend, but I just googled white ink tattoos and if I didn't know what it was, I'd think it was some sort of skin disease by the looks of it. All whitey-pink and raised and stuff.
let me light up the sky, light it up for you
let me tell you why, i would die for you

Mine is in the spot you want it, and mine hurt quite a bit. I don't see the point of white ink tats, but do what makes you happy, not others. Especially with something that will be on your body for a long period of time.
When all your friends have come and gone,
And the sun no longer shines,
And the happiness for which you long is washed away like an ocean's tide,
When all the hard times outweigh the good,
And all your words are misunderstood,
When the day seems lost from the start

It's pink and raised because the tattoos must have been freshly done and had a picture taken of them.

That's the thing, though. It's not going to be there for a long period of time. You're going to pay for it, have it done, and in a few years, it will most likely have faded to the point where it's completely gone.
I'm not the one this thread is for haha. I don't see the point of convincing someone out of something they want either. Not to be rude.

I believe the first one looked like that because the ink was run over so many times in order to make it show up, therefore creating scar tissue under the skin and making it raised. Not fun. One of mine is scarred, and it sucks. Yuck.
Yeah second one looks odd. It pretty much looks like a scar in my opinion.
(I've never seen a white ink tattoo in person and I never looked up pictures of them, so I didn't really know what you meant before. Thanks for posting pictures )
