Birthdays! Use this forum to talk about yours or your friends' birthdays, or to wish other TeenHelp users a happy birthday.
This is the first Birthday in such a long time that I am actually excited for. I feel like I have a great group of friends coming over to celebrate, including a few new friends from my new job. (: I just got a Happy Birthday e-mail from an old forum I used to visit when I was in a long distance relationship, and I'm prepared for a drama free day!
When I was little I had the best Birthdays but as I grew older and felt more unwanted in the family I had a tough time recognizing that my Birthday was something to celebrate. I feel like this year though, might be different. (:
Although... I am sad that I won't be able to make a Rent reference when people ask me how old I am. "I'm 19, but I'm old for my age. I'm just born to be bad!" (for those musical theatre nerds.)
Happy birthday! I hope it's amazing. Like you, my birthdays used to be more fun as a kid (I can't remember the last time I had a good birthday, actually), so I know how much it sucks. It's great to see that things are looking up for you this year.
Happy birthday! I agree with you about birthdays being less fun as you get older, but I do hope you have an amazing day anyway!
The sun is always gonna rise up
You need to get up, gotta keep your head up
Look at the people all around you
The way you feel is something everybody goes through
lol the Rent reference made me smile I'm upset I can't say "I am sixteen going on seventeen" anymore from the sound of music reference. Glad things are looking up for you! happy birthday! Hope your day is special. I also had better birthdays as a child. This year I had school on my birthday, which is really rare and when I came home we did nothing special except "having dinner as a family" which is something we used to do all the time. But anyway, you deserve to celebrate your birthday and you're never too old to have a great birthday, contrary to what some people think ^_^
edit: sorry I didn't see your last post and thought it didn't pass yet glad you had an amazing birthday!
