My mum's birthday present -
May 19th 2015, 10:33 PM
Ok so its my mums birthday today and I have decided to give her the best birthday present ever. I am going to stop self harming. I know she will probably never know about it but it will be a great motivation for me and it will help me stop. She was sad she didn't get a present though so now I have to get another one anyway but whatever. I'm still stopping for her. Hopefully I can keep that promise.

That is an amazing reason to stop self harming for sure! Maybe you can write that reason down, as well as any other reason you can think of to stop self harming. Then when you get the urges you can look at this list and remind yourself of all the reasons you have to stay strong!
Do you ever get a little bit tired of life
Like you're not really happy but you don't wanna die
Like you're hanging by a thread but you gotta survive
'Cause you gotta survive

I think this sounds like great motivation to stop self harming. As Dez said maybe you can write this reason down and remind yourself of it whenever you feel like self harming. I know when I was really struggling with self harm I would write reasons as to why I should stop self harming and it helped me stay strong.
