I use it more often than I care to admit.
"Ignore the ramblings of the ignorant, and step on or over their crumpled bodies as you make your way to the top of the mountain. Eat upon their flesh for fuel, and, through your determination and will, banish them to obscurity and a life of complacency and self righteousness that is the hell in which they live"

Me either. Do you tend to be more formal when you write like I do?

I use big words when I'm writing letters/essays as well whereas I never use them when I'm speaking. I read it back and think; "That really doesnt sound like me at all!"

I'm a bit like that. Ever since having to use it like 7 times in an essay for history (and I took history twice so it's like 14 times) I've been subconsciously using "lesser of two evils" (or something similar, now that I try to think of it, I can't remember it) whenever I can.

I'm terrible at essay writing. I use big interesting words when I speak and as soon as I try and write something intelligent they disappear and I sound like a twit.
Do you wanna come with me? 'Cause if you do, then I should warn you - you're gonna see all sorts of things. Ghosts from the past. Aliens from the future. The day the Earth died in a ball of flame. It won't be quiet, it won't be safe, and it won't be calm. But I'll tell you what it will be: The trip of a lifetime!

I'm actually the opposite. I read them and think, "Finally I'm able to compile all of my thoughts on a topic and not get weird looks for using big words! Yay!" I'm such a dork. Oh noes!
