So I haven't gotten my period before and today when I went to go take a shower , my vag was full of blood. So I panicked and whipped it out of there with toilet paper and continued with my shower . No more blood has come out since then though . Did I get my first period or is there something with me ???
If you fear that there is something wrong, you should definitely visit a doctor and explain your concerns. We're solely volunteers here, not doctors.
However, it sounds like your first period. It could take a while for your periods to regulate, so while you might bleed heavily one day, you may have virtually nothing the next day, and so on and so forth. I was around your age when my periods became regular. Just keep an eye on things. If you have access, wear a panty liner or pad so you don't run any of your panties.
Understandably having your first period can be a little disturbing but as Shannon has stated, it can take a while for your periods to regulate. Don't forget that you're not going to bleed like a tap either. How much exits the body can depend on how light or heavy your period is, as well as it being determined by how long it's been since your first period as well as how old you are since this time. Periods naturally vary from girl to girl.
For the next few days, again as Shannon has suggested, consider wearing a pad to ensure that you don't ruin your underwear. If you don't yet have access to any of this you can use something more makeshift such as a thickened piece of cloth or some tissue paper bunched up. It may be uncomfortable, but it's better than nothing.
