Pregnant or over analyzing? -

I have had sex with my boyfriend a few times. I'm on the pill but we haven't used a condom, he pulls out instead. I am usually pretty good about taking the pill - I take it around the same time every day, within two hours of my usual time on the weekends. I got my period about a week after the last time we had sex, and it came with all the normal period symptoms;however, it seemed to be lighter than normal. I'm paranoid about becoming pregnant and have been stressing about the small possibility (as well as other things), so I'm hoping that that is what caused my period to be light. My breasts haven't been sore and I haven't had cramping or any other pregnancy symptoms at least that I know of...? Am I just freaking out too much and over analyzing or should I be concerned?

It's actually normal for your period to be lighter once you go on the pill. I, for one, have slightly heavier or lighter periods some months than others--to the point where some months I have a period for like a day. There is nothing to worry about I don't think. Half the point of being on the pill is so that you have the option of not needing to use a condom, they both work as protection against pregnancy, but obviously only condoms work for STD's which is why I think there is that conception about them being better, but if your in a monogamous relationship where both partners are STD free then you are ok with using the pill only. So I think you are fine, the chances of pregnancy from what your describing is pretty low.
