I keep thinking I'm pregnant! -
January 21st 2009, 07:53 PM
OK this is weird. I keep thinking I'm pregnant...but the thing it, I've never had sex.
For the past 3 mornings I have woken up at 3 in the morning wanting a certain cereal. I'd go downstairs and get out the cereal and pour in the cereal and I'd get out the milk.
But when I take a whiff of the milk I gag. It's not spoiled...it just makes me sick to smell it, much less drink it or eat it with cereal...and I love milk so that is pretty weird.
Since I couldn't stand the smell of milk, I'd eat plain cereal. Then I'd go to bed, and wake up like an hour or 2 later and throw it back up.
I thought I was sick the first day but I wasn't. I was totally fine by the time I got to school. And then the second day it happened again. And the next day...again.
Also, I've gained like X pounds in 3 days. It makes no sense because I didn't change my diet at all.
I've also been wanting fruity things a lot more.
Annnnd let's not forget the big thing: I was due for my period 3 days ago.
All signs of pregnancy...but I've never had sex......
I must be sick...but I don't know...
AM I GOING TO DIE FROM SOME WEIRD DISEASE?!

It sounds as if your body is dealing with some form of stress. Stress can affect our bodies in such a way as to reproduce some of the symptoms of pregnancy. If you've been going through a difficult time, it may be the cause of your symptoms. It is extremely unlikely that you are pregnant if you've never had intercourse or any other sexual encounter. If it still worries you, it would be best to speak to your GP about it.
Oh, and to add on- Your weight might fluctuate a little, as long as it isn't a significant amount.

If you've never had sex, you can't be pregnant. It's simply not possible. So don't worry about being pregnant. If you are worried about possibly being sick, I'd recommend going to the doctor.

The fact that you are acting out of your normal makes me want to tell you to contact your Doctor, especially if your weight is suddenly changing and you don’t know why. Like posted above, you can not be pregnant. So it has to be something else.

I'm going to go ahead and close this as you can't be pregnant if you didn't have sex. We can only tell you that information and to go see a doctor if worried.
If someone disagrees and feels this should be reopened, feel free to PM me.
