Binding, ill and work. Help. -
December 7th 2015, 11:46 AM
Hey guys, I'm in a bit of a sticky situation at the moment. I've had a cold for just over a week, I took time off work because it hit me like a ton of bricks and I explained to my mum that it isn't good to bind while ill and I have no other alternative- as in my old bra I used to wear doesn't fit and I cannot find a sports bra that'll fit either.
My problem is that my mum needs me to come back to work starting tomorrow because it's getting busier due to the Christmas build up but I am almost over my cold- although I'm still coughing- however, I am unsure if I am able to bind while I'm still slightly ill. Again, I don't have an alternative to wear for work and I'm scared of the consequences if I do bind for work (of which I am working 7 hours along with a half hour lunch break).
I've notified my mum about the situation as a reminder and she told me she'll think of something but I need an outside opinion and advice.
The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

If you're not having trouble breathing due to your cold, you'll most likely be fine as long as you're not doing intensive work. Regardless, I would still recommend being cautious; if it hurts, take it off as soon as you can. I'm not sure if this can apply to you, but when I bound daily, if I was having bad chest pain, I would loosen the binder because it was fastened with velcro; I'm not sure if something like that can be done with pullover/zipper binders, however.
