The Dead that SpeaksFourteen Years- a poem by me -
August 26th 2014, 12:25 PM
It's been a really long time since I posted a thread . But I wanted to post this poem because I think it's really cool and it's the reason why I won Prose Prize in my creative writing class last year. So a little background information for this piece: In class we were working on poetry and our teacher assigned us a project of writing a Tonka but we had to base the tonka off of a picture realating to nature. I'll post the picture it describes also. (It's a Z because as some of you know Bri is only an online name)
The Dead that Speaks Fourteen Years
Dried up rose petals
In the best Z formation
Dead but they tell my story
Only now off-red speaks clear
It speaks my life; fourteen years

This is really well written!
Do you ever get a little bit tired of life
Like you're not really happy but you don't wanna die
Like you're hanging by a thread but you gotta survive
'Cause you gotta survive
