Dreams of sucide - December 12th 2016, 01:24 PM

This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of suicide, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread therefore might not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

Ever since me and my boyfriend split up after I had found out that he had been cheating on me I have been having dreams about suicide and they are really starting to scare me because when I wake up I actually feel like doing it. I think he has literally broken me, I feel like I won't find anyone who just wants to love me and be with me and also be apart of my daughter's life. I don't know what to do. The dreams have been going on for a week now.

Hey Michaela,

I'm so sorry that you're going through this. Breakups are hard, especially when the other person has been unloyal. I know that it makes you feel like you're worthless, and that you weren't good enough, but that could not be farther from the truth. His infidelity reflects his stupidity rather than anything about you. You will find someone who will love you for who you are, and who will love your daughter and want to be a family with the both of you, but you will never meet him if you allow these dreams to become reality. I know that you're in pain and that he's really harmed you, but please, please stay strong both for yourself and for your daughter. Over time, everything will get better, I promise, and you'll one day look back and thank him for what he did - because he forced you to let go of him and find someone who truly appreciates you for the amazing person you are.

I hope this helped and feel free to PM me if you ever need to talk!

Kyra
