Question Why do I feel as if I'm lying? - December 10th 2017, 07:48 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

I always feel like I am lying to myself, and that my mental illnesses are just made up...
I think it because people have it worse than me so I just shouldn't feel this way. And now that im 20 and i still feel this way I just feel like I shouldn't make a deal of it... but yet i do.

Yes, I self harmed from the time I was 10/11 - 15/16 im 4.5 years clean shouldn't I be free from the urge by now? I was abused growing up It caused my depression and anxiety. I watched someone stab a bottle into their throat and then broke a guys knee cap because he killed himself and i was first on the scene, those gave me PTSD...
what pathetic reasons to have all of those. I was weak enough to get them even though people go through far worse.

so if they dont deal with it, maybe I am just lying?

IDK what the point of this post was... just wrote it....

Hey girl.

Have you seen someone about your mental illnesses? They're pretty helpful. They're there to help you too.

Hello, I am so sorry that you are having a really hard time right now. And I also wanted to say that sometimes it's totally ok to not know what to say or post when you are going through something. A lot of times it's hard to find the right words and explain what you are going through and what you need help with. Please do not be so hard on yourself. You did a really great job telling us about this and what's going on with you. Hugs.

Are you able to Google and find someone to talk to with about how you are feeling and how you are having a hard time right now? They have therapist online and you can go in and see them.
Also can you try making a doctors appointment and you can go in and letting them know about this and ask them for help and who do they know that can help you also.

That's amazing how long you have been clean from the self harm When you do this it's hard to take it away from you, even if you have not done it in a while. You can also talk with someone about this too.
I hope that you will be ok soon. Hugs.
