I went onto a crisis helpline and told them that I don't want next week Friday to come because something horrible happened on that day last year and I'm hurting so much. The person who I talked to was nice but she didn't help me. I'm still hurting so much, keep crying and what's it matter? That day will come and I'm just going to be broken again. I'm already sad and depressed now. Can't stop thinking about it, can't make this hurt go away. I'm pushing myself away from others in my life. How do I come back from this? I don't know. Part of me feels like giving up.

I'm sorry to hear that you feel the person on the crisis line wasn't very helpful to you. Sometimes these things happen, but I'm glad you did call the crisis line though as that was a very brave step to take!

Reminders of when bad things happened can definitely be difficult to deal with, especially when you can't do anything about it. Next friday will come and it may be difficult for you, and it's okay to get upset about it. I'm wondering if you can think of things to do in advance so that you can get through next friday? Depending on how you feel, you might want to talk or hang out with someone as a distraction to take your mind off things, or maybe talk about how you really feel. Or you might want it to be a day where you focus on self-care and take time to do things you want to do. I think many people who feel depressed may push away others, especially if you feel people don't understand. But your family and friends do care about you, so maybe try reconnecting with them? Doing the opposite of what we want to do when depressed. connecting with others instead of pushing away, might help.

I know you feel sad and next friday will come. But you will get through it
