Angry Gah! - March 3rd 2012, 08:32 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

My life is on track at the moment. I have a job, my drivers license and a loving family. But I can't stand how I'm feeling. Everyone thinks I'm OK but I'm not. I'm trying to get better. I'm doing the things I love but they're not working. I can't talk to someone because I don't trust anyone. Everyday is the same thing. Weekdays, I get up, get ready, go to work, come home, gym, have a shower, have dinner, watch TV, go on the laptop and go to bed. Weekends, get up, get ready, take the dog for a walk, gym, come home, have a shower, relax, go on laptop, go to bed. Occasionally I'll go out with friends. But it's the same routine. And I hate it. I drink alcohol to feel better. When I do, I feel so much more confident and happy. I crave it most of the time. I don't know what to do anymore.

Try out new things. It always helps. Even simple, little things. Get REALLY interested in a TV show. Become a fanatic with something really nerdy. Start a journal. Do Something to break the routine little things add up.

Is there something you want to be doing that you're not? Eg. Ideal career path? In need of a vacation? And like Dylan said, be spontaneous Try reading a novel, or going to local concerts with mates. Anything that excites you. Don't feel so eager to settle down.

Also, you should try and replace alcohol with something less...spontaneous. Drinking can be fun, but don't go to it when you're bored! Or else it will become a habit.
