What's your favourite breed of dog? - March 28th 2016, 06:40 AM

As the title says. This is just for fun, and multiple answers are acceptable. For the purposes of this thread I will accept mixes and crossbreds (like all of the "oodles") as well as actual purebreds. Feel free to elaborate on why you like them, whether you've owned them before, etc. Have fun, guys.

Re: What's your favourite breed of dog? - March 28th 2016, 09:31 AM

Oh this is going to be a fun thread. Okay. My favourite based on personality would be a labrador, just because they are so friendly and as my mum always says, if someone came to rob the house, Neelix (my dog) would lick them to death. They are great with kids which I should know seeing as we got our's when I was five and previously had been terrified of dogs but since Neelix I have loved them. They can be extremely playful, but they learn quickly and are great guide dogs so can also be responsible when necessary. They are just amazing. Although they do shed too much hair during summer seriously wow.

Based on adorableness I have always said a cavoodle which I have wanted but never actually had. They're just extremely cute. I do say that about every dog though so I wouldn't trust my opinion on this one.

So that's mine. Enjoy this information Chess.

I've never had a dog, but I have too many favourites

I love Siberian Huskies. But I also love any spitz type dogs (that is, the fluffy ones with pointy ears and bushy tales) and recognised 'wolf-dogs' e.g. saarloos wolfhound. They look so adorable, but they have a high energy drive too. I'm not that active nowadays, but I reckon I would get right back into the swing of things with such an active dog! I would love to have a team of huskies and train them to pull a sled.

On the flip side, mini huskies (a.k.a Alaskan Klee Kai) look just as fun

Well my family has four mini pins and two Chihuahuas. I love these breads a lot and don't regret getting my Pixie which is a Chihuahua.

But the dog bread I really want a pug or dachshund. Or a mix of the two which is called a duag.

I like lab/beagle mixes because I owned one. I want a lab, but I'd be very happy with a lab mix instead because that means I'd probably have adopted him or her. I also like weenie dogs.

I have two Bichon Frises and they are lovely dogs with big personalities but I have always been a fan of bigger breeds, I like Labradors and Huskies. My partner has a Lab, so kind of own one lol, he's gorgeous only problem is the amount of exercise they need. I've never owned a Husky, but I would love one.

German shepherds My parents had a cocker spaniel, an amazing dog, but then they got a new dog that was also a cocker spaniel and he was the worst dog ever, still is. He's mean, he bites when you try to pet him, and he's just not a good dog

1. (of a person or animal) able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions.
2. (of a substance or object) able to recoil or spring back into shape after bending, stretching, or being compressed.

We all possess resilience, we just need to realize it.

I don't have a specific breed of dog that I like more.

I think they are all cute in their own way.

I like Labradors and golden retrievers. Both are extremely friendly. If I ever get a dog I'll probably get a lab though.

My very first was a shih tzu, and he was the sweetest. I have an American bulldog (which I think are way better than frenchies or English bulldogs) and I now have a German Shepherd, and there both amazing dogs. I like collies, daschunds, huskys, pointers, pit bulls, and labs of all sorts.

I've always been in love with the doberman pincher. Incredibly smart and loyal dogs, they're amazing. I hope one day I can learn to proberly train and raise one, since I'm aware they're among the breeds that have bad reputations, a dog with a temperament problem is the LAST thing I want. Yep, dobermans are my top dog. I also like German shepherds and rottweilers.

Border Collies. The supervisor at my dormitory back in high school had a Border Collie, and she was the absolute sweetest animal ever. She would trot up to you and cuddle if you seemed nice enough. <3

Greyhounds and whippets are my favourites. I've never owned any (in fact I've never owned a dog) but I'd love to in the future.

Really like Siberian Huskies and mid-content wolfdogs (not technically a breed but still like 'em). Although I doubt that I'd be able to handle a mid-content.

Personally I love greyhounds, because in my experience they tend to be more gentle and calm than other dogs, which is more my pace than yappy/loud dogs who constantly want your attention. To me greyhounds are like the cats of dogs (and if you can't already tell, I'm more of a cat person.) So if I ever get a dog, it will almost certainly be a greyhound!
