I've had all my pets from rescue shelters.

Yeh I think getting them from pet shelters if definatly the way to go
But if your anything like me then you might want to take them all home!

Either that or sometimes people cant afford to look after them anymore or physically cant look after them. And then want to personally find good homes and people to give them to.

Also when pets have babies that were unplanned!
One of my neighbours cats had kittens and she wanted to find good homes to give them to (not sell them!)
She had been told that the cat was neutered but obviously it wasnt.

I got two of mine from local breeders, whilst I rescued the other from a negligent owner.

most of our cats we've had we got from neighbours cats when they've had kittens or whatever. I think the first kittens my parents got us came from a breeder though. Same w. our dog.

I don't have a cat. I have a dog though, and we got him from a friend of my moms (for free! how about that?). My previous dog was from a breeder too, although we had considered getting one from a shelter.

We got our cat "Puppy" from a humane society in California. We've had her since she was about 6 months old.

Our other cat "Bri" we got from a friend, however we're currently trying to find a new home for her.

We got our fishies from friends/pet stores.

I got my cat and my first rabbit from the animal shelter near me.
When the first bunny died after 3 days because a sickness she had gotten at the shelter, we decided to get our next rabbit at a pet store.
