Killed My Fish.... -
February 28th 2010, 04:22 AM
I used antibacterial spray to clean my tank, and I guess it had some kind of chloride in it... My fish are dying and I fell so bad even though they are fish. We cleaned it out, but I guess It still effected them. Can I still use the same tank if we clean it really well?

Sorry about your fish, I suggest you fill the tank with water and leave it overnight, the chloride should dissolve back into the water during the night and its concentration afterwards should be low enough.

You do get commercial aquarium cleaning solutions. They might be more expensive, but they're safe.

Awww im sorry about your fishies. But yeah look for special tank cleaner that won't effect them would be best.
