Dress Shopping - April 23rd 2012, 02:33 AM

A friend and I were going to go dress shopping today for a zombie event coming up (we'd decided we were going to dress up like 'prom' zombies or some sort of dance for it). Instead I ended up staying home 'sick' because I can't very well try on dresses (or at least not ask for opinions on them - not that I'd really want to anyway) with cuts all over my arms. I was too afraid she'd ask to see one if I tried it on and you can't really wear long sleeves under dresses while trying them on or people will probably think you're odd.

I didn't really want to go anyway, but it feels kind of stupid knowing that I skipped it because of cuts. I hate having to hide them. It'd be easier if people saw them and thought nothing of it.

Do you really want people do see your scars and think nothing of them? That worries me far more than anything you stated in your post.

In any case, you can wear long sleeve when trying on dresses, especially if you wear long sleeves normally. People will just think you're being modest.

Hi Max, I understand what you're going through right now. I don't know how bad is your scar but make up concealer and foundation worked for me before if you want something express to cover it up. I hope this helps.

Thanks, I think I will try and cover them - they're not really bad just too many to pretend it was something else - if that doesn't work maybe I'll just wear a long sleeved shirt and skirt instead.
