good way to cover up cuts and scars - July 22nd 2012, 08:52 PM

Just wondering what are good ways to cover up cuts and scars especially in the summer and also all year long

In the summer, I wear light cardigans, thin cotton shirts over t-shirts, maxi dresses (for the scars on my legs) and linen trousers. In the past when I didn't have as many scars, I wore lots of bracelets and sweatbands to cover the scars on my arms and board shorts if I had to go swimming.

I would use makeup (mainly concealer) to make them less noticeable, then put bracelets over them or light long sleeves. I have tons of scars on my ankles so I wear cute socks or anklets over concealer.

I use makeup for the scars, but if you try to put it over the existing cuts, it just cakes on and makes it look more noticable, so I use bracelets.

When i used to cut i would put bracelets or long sleeves in the winter. If i went swimming i would wear shorts over my swim bottoms.

I generally wear long sleeves 24/7. You can try using bracelets or make up too.

I use bracelets to cover up existing cuts. If they go too high up your arm, wear a light long sleeve or cardigan. For existing scars, makeup works really well. I've also used tattoo cover-up, which works out pretty well.

Chantelle,
As many people above me have said, bracelets work..if the cuts are fresh, the coverup just cakes and burns the cut, and sometimes makes them infected. If you mainly cut on your legs (like me) then capri's, board shorts for swimming, and coverup for scars work as well.
I hope I helped!
