Thumbs up Almost There! - April 16th 2014, 07:20 PM

Hey guys! Before I've gone on here mentioning all of my urges and relapses and worries. Well now, I'm here to say I'm finely done. I've been self harm free for about 6 months now. It feels amazing. I still get urges and want to relapse and all that jazz, but I find strength in myself to now go down that road anymore. I've been doing things that make ME more happy and not listening to the negative things in my life. I've started to exercise more which feels great, I bought a guitar and I'm not focusing on that, along with many other things. I guys I'm here to say anyone and everyone can get through this. I know it's hard, but it's worth it. I still have my insecurities and depression, but it's slowly getting better. I self harmed for 4 years and now I'm finally free. Good luck you guys.

That is amazing! Thanks for sharing and congrats on 6 months of being SH free! You are right, it is hard to recover from it but in the end it is definitely worth it! Keep it up!

I think it is great that you have been able to go 6 months without self harm. Keep up the good work and remember that any urges that come your way will pass if you give it time!

I am SO proud of you for being six months free. I know that you can make it longer and longer from there. You are doing so well and I know that you are so strong, and that you are no longer in self harm's clutches.

I'm really happy to hear you've gone so long without self-harming, and I think it's absolutely fantastic! You should be very proud of yourself for this. Also, on behalf of everyone, thanks for the kind and encouraging words. You can be an example to all of us by showing it is never impossible.
