Are you having any sort of allergic reaction? For example, are you using any sort of new lotion or product on your skin that may have caused this, or has your skin came into contact with anything? Maybe the scar is more sensitive to this?

Maybe you can make sure it is clean and even use something like Neosporin on it. When it heals up again you may be able to lotion it.

If it doesn't go away after a little while I'd get it checked.

Have you scratched the scar recently either accidentally or intentionally due to itching that may be causing it to bleed? Or has a pet's claw scratched it?

If it isn't any sort of possible allergic reaction or obvious cause for this then it might be best to get it checked out because it does sound rather puzzling. I've heard of people having itchy scars years later; that's normal but the bleeding doesn't sound normal.

Best of luck! Feel free to keep us updated.

When it is itchy I have itched it to make it stop being itchy. The thing is because theres now a scab on part of the scar - I'm not helping the situation because I see the scab and go pick pick pick. I do have a Dr's appointment within the next two weeks.

Do you have any lotions that relieve itchiness? If the scab makes it even more tempting to pick at it, can you put a band-aid over the scar with some antibiotic ointment to prevent temptation to pick at it, help it heal and prevent infection just until the doctor's appointment?

Glad you got an appointment to get this checked out by the way. Let us know how it goes for you if you don't mind.

Hey girl.

Don't know if it's the same thing, but I know that some of my scars become a little raised (almost like blisters, but hard and you can't pop them! Gross!) and they bleed. To me that's normal. I don't know exactly how yours are though so I'd definitely keep an eye on it.

It is a little raised but it's not like a blister I'm wondering I got a insect bite over the top of it and that's what made it itchy it's like no longer itchy just now scabbed over and it's like so hard to not pick it
