I just watched the video on self-harm and was wondering if picking your scabs subcontously is self-harm or not? Please help me out.

It really depends. Some people pick their scabs out of habit but some people do it intentionally in order to inflict more pain to the wound. If you are do it to intentionally hurt yourself than it would be considered self harm. However if you have no intention to hurt yourself and you just do it sometimes then I don't think it counts. But, picking scabs is not the greatest thing to do. If you do it out of nervousness or whatever I would suggest that when you notice you are doing it to try and stop yourself.

i do it out of nerviceness i think because i do it in my sleep most of the time. i wake up with brusies and bloody skin from picking exsisting scabs. i dont know what to do
