cocoa butter is good for scar reducing, so is moisturising 2 times daily, so is using bio oil, also fake tan works quite well.

I don't think there is anyway for you to make it go away fast. Do you have to wear shorts? Because that is the best suggestion I can make. Just put some pants on for the trip. It might be uncomfortable but in the end you will feel comfortable.

If not what about some leg warmers? They might be in your spending limit?

Here is a website that I have found and liked quite a bit.

Hope this helped and if you need anything feel free to pm me.

Everyday
is so wonderful
And suddenly it's hard to breathe
Now and then I get insecure
From all the pain, I feel so ashamed

I am beautiful no matter what they say
Words can't bring me down
I am beautiful in every single way
Yes, words can't bring me down, oh no
So don't you bring me down today

To all your friends you're delirious
So consumed in all your doom
Tryin' hard to fill the emptiness, the piece is gone
Left the puzzle undone, ain't that the way it is?

'Cause you are beautiful no matter what they say
Words can't bring you down, oh no
You are beautiful in every single way
Yes, words can't bring you down, oh no
So don't you bring me down today

Haley,

I don't know how well they will work or if they are in your price range but the crug store ususally sells some pretty inexpensive scar reducer. They may not completely go away but they may reduce down.
Best of luck,
Trish

Once i saw on a different post that scar zone is a good scar reducer and if you put a lot of it on every hour instead of once a day it makes the scars go away really quickly, but it is a bit expensive 10-12 dollars I think. It's only a little bottle too.

Hi there Haley,

Unfortunately, there is not really any way to get scars away very fast, but you can try to cover them up or begin the healing process in several different ways. The suggestions that the above posters have given seem to be very helpful and I'd recommend that you try them out. We also have a wonderful article that is located [here] on TeenHelp, which gives basically all of the ideas you could think of for trying to cover up scars, so you may want to check that out. As that article should cover everything, I shall close this thread now.
If you have an other issues, please feel free to post again, or if you disagree with this being closed, feel free to send a PM my way.

Take care and have fun in New York!
