Hey Blaine,
I'm sorry to hear how you're feeling right now, it must be particularly difficult to feel that way in school. Have you thought about talking to a teacher or friend? Has something happened today to leave you feeling this way? ![]() Vicky |

Hi there :-)
I'm really sorry that you're feeling the need to hurt yourself. I agree with what Victoria has previously said. That it might be a good idea to talk to a teacher. A lot of schools have pastrol support officers who can help you or maybe threes a school nurse/counselor you can go and talk to to try and help you manage the urges. These people are in school and do their job to help you because they want too. They can be really supportive and it might just be that you stay with them for ten minutes until you feel a bit better or you can talk to them about what's causing you to feel this way. Then if it happens again in the future, you'll be more confident and aware of what to so when this situation arises in school. I just wanted to make sure you know that you don't need self harm. That you can hurt yourself as much as you want but it's not going to solve the underlying issues causing you to want to harm yourself and that the chances are the urges will come back again sooner or later because you haven't death with those underlying issues. You're stronger than self harm and you can beat it so keep on fighting. Here is a list of alternatives to self harm in case you also get urges out of school. They can be really helpful and it's important that you keep on trying new ones when you come across ones that don't work to because different ones help different people. There may be a few on there which you can do in school such as splash cold water on your face, scribble on your paper, count numbers etc. If something has happened to make you feel this way, you're also more than welcome to talk to us about it. We're here to help you as much as we can. You're not alone in this. I hope this helps. Look after yourself. You CAN beat this!
