depressed without it... -

Ok, so a while ago my mom took away my phone (it's an iPhone, so it's also my iPod) and i have no music and i HATE IT!
I literally get depressed and stressed and I cant fall asleep without it and i dont think it's normal... Last time she got mad, she ripped the strings out of my guitar and i cried all day long. Now i cant play and i am seeing it in my dreams... Basically, my mom knows how to make me miserable... And today i went to a studio to record and it just felt like i was... HOME... It just feels right... I cant go anywhere if i have no music and i CANT LIVE WITHOUT IT... Is that strange... Bad??? If you dont like me for who I am

Well personally, I need music. If I don't have music, well, I have all sorts of problems. I can't sleep without music, is the biggest thing. I need music to walk, without music I hate walking, its a chore. And other things like that.

Music is awesome - but it is possible to become too dependent on it. That's why I don't always carry my ipod with me. It's good in moderation, sometimes it even feels better listening to it if you haven't in a while. Your mom can't take music away from you though. She has your iphone and guitar but music is everywhere. You can even replay a song in your head or hum it out or tap it along a surface. Hang in there

Well frankly, you can get addicted to just about anything, but music is very important. What did you do to get your I phone taken away? Maybe you could sit your mom down to help work through whatever it was?

Maybe say you are sorry and asks if there is anything you can do for her? How long has it been? If it has been a while and you honestly say you are sorry and mean it I am sure she will give it back.

kinda same,i guess. its not really an addiction. just make sure you always have a radio,tv,computer,any music/sound device near by.
and your mom just has to understand how you feel. cause as a parent,with no pressure or anything. try working as a musician.simple,cause you love music. or maybe you already are though...
