addicted and seriously need help

I am truly addicted with internet... just give me a laptop with internet.. I can stay inside the house for weeks...

well the problem is just.... my school has been... screwed..
then if you say I should close my laptop.. I can't because I already tried.. and it only make my condition worse...

what ahould I do?? so I can have both real world and net world in peace

Maybe you should make a timetable, and slowly cut down the amount of time you're on the computer,you could do this over a week or two. And then eventually make it so you can go on at a certain time, for say an hour a day?

heyy iris,
i know how you feel, the internet used to always keep me away from my actual life. maybe you should try blocking the websites that distract you from school work. that way, if you ever want to go onto those sites, your internet wont let you, and you'll have more of an incentive to stay off your computer. also, blocking unnecessary sites will still allow you to work on the internet for school, if needed. i also agree with Charli about the timetable...that could really help manage your time on the internet.

im not sure how to help but i have the same problem with the internet i am addicted to the internet to the point where i spend every waking hour online even when i have friends round im on the internet! but maybe tell yourself i'll get this done then i'll go online, (i dont really have an incentive as im not in school) but it might work for you.

If you can get up the will to try shutting off your laptop, you can find the will to get out of your home, and make a study space out of some place where the internet is far, far out of reach. Libraries are a great place to consider, or if that fails, try a [relatively] quiet local coffee shop. A lot of people find this quite effective - that's why these spaces exist!

I have the same problem with online games, well it's getting better now, you can message me if you want to work through it together, I hear having a friend helps this sort of thing?
