Question Am I addicted? - June 4th 2011, 06:01 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

Every second day I go to the gym and I love the thrill off working out and sweating. The days that I don't go, I get bored easily and really hate not going. I love the way my body is becoming because of the exercise and I crave exercising everyday. I feel at ease at the gym and forget about the things I'm going through. I actually feel happy when I go because I can escape everything for a few hours at a time. Once I start my new job and when I get my licence I want to go everyday.
Am I addicted to exercise and going to the gym?

You are not addicted to going to the gym. Going to the gym is just your way of escaping the pressures of life. We all have a place we like to go to in order to escape those feeling, and it is completely normal.

I think it is just a hobby for you, I think its away to release stress, and I mean there is people who run everyday do we label them addicted? No, its just what they do to cope. When it becomes an addiction is when its no longer working out it becomes an obsession like omg my body has to look this way or I need these pills for this and if I do this this will happen... If it doesn't become compulsive it is fine

That's an amazing way to release stress. That's also not a negative addiction, it's a positive one until you start losing touch with your friends and family.
Thats all! hope you feel and look amazing!
