Long, medium, and short term goals / dreams - March 24th 2015, 06:13 AM

With all of the trouble and stress i've been having lately I thought it'd be a good idea to come up with some short, medium, and long term goals.

Short term goals <1 year
Keep my scholarship, and pass this semester with a 3.0+ GPA
Get through Botany and Organic physiological chemistry with a B
Catch my first venomous snake in the wild
see the Alligator at our local trails
Breed some of our snakes
Support USARK

Medium term <5 years

Graduate college with a B.S. in wildlife biology with a 3.0+ GPA
Become a certified Wildlife biologist
Get our own place
Get accepted into grad school at Texas A&M or Florida State
Get my federal Import and export permits for reptiles from other countries
Start keeping crocodiles
move into keeping the Elapidae family of venomous snakes
Breed the venomous snakes

Long term <10 years

Get a Doctorate in Herpetology, as well as an M.S. in Animal behavior, and ecology
Open my own Reptile zoo
Start doing research
Own a house
start extracting venom

some of my Goals / dreams are insane and I will probably fail, but i'm going to try my damnedest to succeed.

Those are some great goals to have! Keep up the good work, hon!

You seem smart so you should be able to pull these things off splendidly.

Thank ya, hopefully I can pull it off. I worry that I'll fail miserably a lot, but the best I can do is try. I am going after what will make me happy in life after all.

These sound like great goals!

Don't worry about failing right now, especially on the goals you have set for the next five or ten years. Right now, focus on being successful at uni and getting the grades you need. You can do it, I know you can!

Don't stress too much about those long term goals.

These seem like great goals. They are rather unique and your support for animals seems amazing!
Anything you want to accomplish and achieve is attainable so long as you do not get ahead of yourself, overwork or stress about these things.
Remember to take each thing one at a time and eventually your short-term goals will gradually change and you will get closer to your long-term goals.
Hopefully all goes well!
Take care.

Thanks everyone, I hope I can suceed like most of ya seem to think I really appreciate it . I've already done one of my short term goals of catching my first venomous snake in the wild myself. I do indeed love animals, a lot of what i do is based around them haha. even most of my tattoos are animals.

That's great!

Just be careful with those venomous snakes and other creatures that can be harmful!
