My Goals for the New School Year -
August 22nd 2010, 08:02 PM
I have decided that since I'm starting high school in September, new school, new people,...new start....I don't want to carry my past problems with me. ( I have problems mostly resulting from anxiety and being sexually assualted)
SOOOO.... MY GOALS FOR THE 2010-2011 SCHOOL YEAR ARE: 1) Get invovled in 1 extra-circular activity 2) Not look at the floor when approaching a group of people whom I do not know 3) Talk to the people sitting around me in class <---not when the teacher is talking of course !! )4) Go to the winter semi-formal 5) Make at least 2 new freinds ( 1 female, 1 male) 5a) Allow myself to trust a male 6) Become "Erika the Popular" <-- hehe I'll settle for not eating alone at lunch 7) Will not allow any bully to put me down and make me think negatively of myself. I do know this list is fairly unimpresive for most people, they just do these thngs without a second thought but I really want to break from my past and have a "normal" teenage life. ![]() "Think of your life as a book, move forward, close one chapter and open another." – Unknown We give each other strength to make it through the darkness." – Silverstein "Life is the art of drawing without an eraser." – John W. Sounds good, Erika.
@asheleyellen1637: It's okay, I'm a freshman too! I think we're all a little nervous

Not unimpressive at all! they're all awesome!
You can definitely achieve these we all have faith in you !!
You can lose yourself. Everything. All boundaries. All time. And just when the sweet confusion is so intense you think you're gonna die... you kind of do. Leaving you alone in your separate body, but the one you love is still there. That's a miracle. You can go to heaven and come back alive. You can go back anytime you want with the one you love. .Lily. former HelpLink Mentor. email me anytime <3 |

That list is amazing Erika!
First of all...congratulate yourself that you thought of even making the list in the first place!!!!!! Many people don't make a list of goals as adults let alone at your age! That is so awesome! I think your list is attainable and you will be able to cross off things in no time! That is so important! Alot of times, we create goals that are so far out of our reach that we are disappointed when we don't achieve them...and in all actuality, we just set ourselves up for failure. Just take high school one day at a time...you said it right...new school+new people=new start! Beautiful! Go for it girl! You can do, be, and have anything...once you set your mind to it and stay committed! You can sooooooooooooo do this!
