Thumbs up Trilingual! - April 4th 2012, 03:19 AM

I know English (duh, this post is in English), still learning German in school, and I just started learning Japanese early last week using Pimsleur. Well, I only have one of the Japanese audio lessons because that one was free. But in only 30 minutes I already learned a few phrases. However, Pimsleur only teaches how to speak a language. As for reading and writing in Japanese, well I'm on my own.

Alright I'll try that. I was also hoping to maybe go to Japan for a little while once I've mastered Japanese, but I'm kinda nervous. Not about going to a foreign country, but about going to a country that keeps getting abused by nature. I hear that cancer rates were already the highest in the world because of the A-Bombs, but after their recent crisis, the nuclear power plants getting busted up made it even worse.

Self pity will not rescue you.
Sometimes we have to save our own lives,
not because no one else cares, but because no one else can.

Life for you has been less than kind
So take a number, stand in line
We've all been sorry, we've all been hurt
But how we survive is what makes us who we are.

Dreamed up the maps, give me the charcoal and the paper
We invent paths they cannot see, and they're too scared to walk

Only after disaster can we be resurrected. It's only after you've lost everything that you are free to do anything.

Well, German actually isn't that hard. It's in the same language group as English and I think French, which makes it even easier.
