D.C.Y.F - November 18th 2010, 01:02 PM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

Okay, so for those who know my family has abused me my entire life. (If you didn't know read this post: http://www.teenhelp.org/forums/f13-r...-no-one-cares/ [I don't feel like re-telling everything]

Anyways,
in my gender therapy appointment yesterday (my second) my therapist told me that If my parents or sister ever touched me again to call her and she'd contact D.C.Y.F. (Both appointments we had talked a lot about the abuse I've been receiving) Which was a huge shocker...because no one has ever cared about my whole situation. Not even my main therapist. She's never told anyone or called anyone about the abuse, she'd just be like, "Oh...well what did you do this time?" When I'd tell her what my family did to me, and told her things they're currently doing to me.
Well today, I was talking to my mother about me taking Sign Language online classes. Because I figured I can't get a job working with animals (the way I want to) If I don't go to college, and where I live you have to have three years of language classes as a requirement for college. (So that means I'm already behind with that because I'm a sophomore) So I just asked her If she could spend the $50 per every five months (In total it would be $200) and I didn't think It'd be a problem because my mother has never spent one cent on my entire schooling career (preschool until now), and she's spent $8,000 a year for my sisters High School, and paying for her college. (So in total for her high school she paid $32,000 and now currently 5+ years of my sisters college) and when I go to college, I have to pay all of it.
So again, I didn't think the $200 would be a problem. When I brought it to my mothers attention that I need to start soon with my language classes, because I'm already behind, she started cussing and yelling at me saying I was ungrateful....when all I was asking for was something for educational reasons. And then she charged at me, grabbed me by my arms tightly and shoved me against our pantry. (which is made entirely of wood) Afterwards my back hurt immensely. So I called up my gender therapist, and told her what happened. She said that after she gets off the phone with me, she's calling D.C.Y.F.
You don't know how happy I was. Someone actually caring, and something actually being done. I will update the situation when I can.

It is good someone is finally going out of their way to do something about this. They should all be locked up and put away for a long time and their accounts should be liquidated to help pave your future. And all the therapists who failed to act should get their licenses revoked permanently. After reading your story I am just outraged.

Oh man...you are really lucky! I'm so happy that someone cares about your situation!
My parents abuse both me and my little brother...like today I was trying to protect him from my dad beating him up and I ended up yelling at my parents and they kicked, beat, and pulled on my hair. I have a split lip now and there's nothing I can do about it...oh well my situation isn't as bad as yours.

Hi, what do you mean there is nothing you can do about it? Have you tried reporting it already?

I was about to ask that, before I noticed your post ha, but yes, you should report it. You shouldn't have to live like this.
