My little sister came home from school with bruises and her trousers were covered in blood?

My sister needs alot of care, when she got home I helped her get changed out of her school uniform and she had bruises on her ribs,sides and stomach, it looked like someone had punched her and grabbed her sides, I tried talking to her about it, but she just changed the subject, when I brought it up again she got really upset. My little sister has the mental age of a toddler, so she threw a tantrum so I left it alone. I don't know what to do, she was abused by our dad when she was younger and I don't want it to happen again... Also when she was getting changed she had wet herself, she is incontinent so she wears a pull up and I know she had enough for school because of the nurse there, but she didn't have one on and her school trousers look like they have blood on near the crotch area. HELP!! I'm scared for my little sister. Could she of been raped?

Hey there, I'm sorry this is going on. I can't give you a definite answer to your sister's problems but there might be two things going on here. First, how old is your sister? You said she had the mental age of a toddler but how old is she in actual years? If she's old enough she may have started her period. As for the bruises, I'm not sure what to tell you. My little cousin has touretts syndrome and for a while we thought he was abused but we found out he was hitting himself. Could your sister's mental situation have caused that? The best thing to do is take her to the hospital. They can confirm whether or not she has been abused/raped. Keep her trousers and stuff like that because they can pinpoint the abuser if she has been abused/raped. Keep us updated.

It had to be at school she went to all her lessons, but none of the teachers saw her at lunch. Its a small school for people with mental and physical disabilites. One of the kids in her class say he saw her with a boy from an older year, according to him he was literally dragging her to the boys toilets.

I would talk to her teachers and the head master, with your sisters disabilities they should of been watching her better. I would definately take her to the doctors check whats going on, I would also get her to talk a perfessional, she could be having problems with peer pressure and bullying and causing inflictions on herself. The stuff on her trousers might not even be blood and also check with the doctor get a second opinion about periods because they said that about my friend and she still got her period a couple of years later...

In my opinion, you need to hire an attorney. The constant repeated failures of the school to protect, accommodate, and provide for her are blatantly wrong, and unlawful. Especially since this is supposed to be a specialized facility for goodness sakes, obviously there is something seriously wrong with this place! Like a nursing home indicted for neglecting the residents, a comparable analogy.

Also you should contact the police about the repeated abuse that has been taking place so they can thoroughly investigate what has been going on.

You need to be gentle. Your sister is scared and confused right now. You want to be there for her in a safe manner, but you also need to get her checked out if she won't tell you what happened.
