What do I do? -
June 13th 2011, 07:24 AM
Okay, something really strange happened at the market today. It was about fourty-five minutes ago, actually. My dad (Doesn't have anything to do with my dad) said that he needed to go to the market to buy some milk. I had a lot on my mind, so I decided to go anyway. It was 11:21 PM by the time we got there, so we just went in. I went to the TV dinner isle and pulled out two two TV dinners. I accidently dropped something. Then this old man who was working noticed me and said how he heard something fall and noticed me there. I said sorry and he was like "No it's okay everything falls, you know." I thought his expression and the way he talked to me was a little strange, but I'm a nice person so i was like "No it's okay." Then I just kind of ignored him, even when I knew that he was looking at me while I was trying to put the fallen TV dinner back. His voice was a little thick, so it was hard for me to understand him, but I AM sure he called me "sexy."
So gross I know. I just walked away and then he was said, "Are your parents here? I was just messing with ya. Are you mad at me?" I just replied "no." I never told my dad, and I avoided eye contact with that creepy old guy while we were still there. Anyway, I learned a lesson: Never go to the market at approximately midnight. Every girl who has been abused deserves better than to be degraded or belittled by gross old LOSER pedo bears. I'm not sure how to handle this, but I know I'm going to tell my best friend, move on, and be more careful in the future. Laugh as much as you breathe and love as long as you live |

Hey,
I actually had something similar happen to me when I was on vacation. An old man spoke towards me in a creepy way. Honestly, in that situation, there are two things that you can do. 1. You can ignore, walk it away, and move on. You don't have to reply if he asks you anything. You can simply walk away. That's what I did. 2. You can tell a store employee and they can deal with it. Since the man was a store employee, it would have been a pretty good idea to report him. It was wrong of him and obviously unnerving. Either way, you did nothing wrong. Take care, Kitty. |
