Hearing voices - August 4th 2017, 04:36 PM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

I hear voices and I'm not sure exactly what I have, but it's starting to become a problem.

It started in about 6th grade. I remember blacking out one day during class and I think it's related to this and another time hearing a voice telling me that I'd cut deeper one day. This was because of the same demon I first met named Reaper.

Since then, it's gotten worse. I've found 4 new voices in just 2 months and half of those were just this week. It's gotten up to 6 voices already. I'm also on a medication that's supposed to help with hallucinations, but it's a very low dose.

They're nice in general, but 2 of them are demons that prefer to bully me and try to talk me into suicide. That's the main problem I'm having right now.

My options are learning to cope or going to the hospital so they can increase my dosage. I'm trying to stay out of the hospital, so do you know anything that could help me?

Do you think the medication is helping at all or not? If the voices are getting worse, then it's probably for the best that you talk to a psychiatrist about it and see if the dosage can be increased. I know going to a hospital may not be a nice experience, but it's worth it if it means adjusting your medication to help you feel better.

I'm not too sure of how to deal with the voices but remember that you don't have to do anything that they may tell you to do. If you are worried about attempting suicide, then it's best to go to the hospital.

It helped the last time they increased the dosage, but for one day. It's just gone right back to where it was before. I'll probably just talk to my psychiatrist about increasing the dosage or other options and to my therapist about controlling the voices better
