Angry gawd! - July 25th 2010, 07:17 PM

ok, so im napping on the couch with the dogs and my mom walks in and says "im worried about you being depressed, because fatigue is one of the symptoms of depression" and im so pissed off. the reason im so tired is because i stayed up till 3 in the morning waiting for HER to get home! every little thing i do she tries to convince me is a symptom of depression. i thought she had quit but obviously shes at it again. she makes me so mad! im not depressed! if it werent for her, i would actually be a very happy person! she is the only reason i am ever unhappy and she refuses to accept that. I do NOT have depression. i just hate her so much!

I think you should tell her that.

To you, everything's funny. - -
I'd give all I have, honey. - If you could stay like that.
Stay this little. - - I won't let nobody hurt you.
Just try to never grow up. - - Never grow up.

Hi there Alice,

It sounds as though your mother really seems to be really infuriating you with her accusations that you may have depression. I'm sorry to hear that. I think that it's good that she's concerned for you though, it shows that she cares.

I think that the only thing and the best thing you could do in order to reassure your mother that you're happy and that you're feeling okay is to tell her that. Perhaps sit her down and tell her how you are feeling and that you don't think that her worrying is exactly necessary. If you have issues with your relationship with your mother then maybe that is something you would like to address too.

Take care.
