What could it be? - October 27th 2010, 02:06 AM

Lately, more and more, I've been seeing shadows from the corner of my eye. And I think it's my cat or someone walking into the room and I turn my head, but nothing is there. I swear I see these shadow things everywhere, going up walls, crossing by my feet, just standing there.. but when I look they're gone. They come and go. I don't necessarily hear voices or anything, but I do talk to myself a lot in my head. Like, there's another one of me who brings me down a lot and tells me that if I don't do something (like pick something up or touch something 8 times, etc.) my mom will die or something will happen to my sister/grandmother.. OCD?

I don't know what it is! I'm pretty emotionally detached from everyone I meet, but I'm pretty good at acting like I'm emotionally attached. I suffer from depression, but haven't gone to see a doctor. There are times when I feel great about myself and others when I feel like killing myself. And sometimes, though I hate to admit it, I feel like I should be locked up in a mental institution somewhere.. not that I'm going to hurt anyone, but I just feel like my heart/soul is letting go of my physical being. Am I going crazy? could this be some type of mental disorder or am I making too much of it??

Well, the obsession with touching objects or else something bad will happen sounds like it could be OCD.

You should probably try to see a psychologist, or even a therapist, and they'd be able to give you a better idea of what's going on.

Yeah, I'll definitely look into it. It's not like it's interfering with my life, I'm just worried that it could, eventually, become bigger.

Thnx

Ur rite. Things that go untreated like that can get soo much worse untreated. I really hope that the doc can hook you up with some kind of fix

See your doctor and ask him/her to check out your eyes, because this 'shadowy' thing might only really be a floater. Inside our eyeballs are sometimes little specks, harmless and these somehow project into our vision sometimes.
