Cool People Think I'm Quite Odd. - January 25th 2012, 11:49 PM

I mean I don't think anything is that wrong, maybe I'm wrong. I am diagnosed with having severe depression, but I'm on meds for that.

I just want to know that other people think about these things too. I took drivers ed last summer and a homicide detective from my city came in and talked to us and showed us images of accidents that have happened. I saw a body split in half (the top half by the car and the bottom in the street), a guys face completely just, gone. Saw a dude totally burned. Just a lot of stuff like that. Everyone in the class flinched and closed their eyes when a new picture showed up but I thought it was the coolest thing ever and couldn't wait to see another. I told my mom what i thought about them and she asked what was wrong with me. The thought of things like that doesn't disgust me or make me feel so. I mean I don't want to hurt anyone or anything like that. But we were watching a movie in film class and this guy pushed a lady in a wheelchair down the stairs and I thought it was hilarious meanwhile everyone flipped out.

I think I just have an odd sense of humor. But anyways, I don't think anything is wrong with that. Right?

Hello, I can relate to this. I laugh and am amused my those things too. I don't think anything is wrong with it, just as long as you didnt actually laugh if you saw a guy push a lady in a wheel chair down stairs in real life, If you would then you should talk to someone. But in my opinion if its a movie and that type of thing happens there is nothing wrong with laughing.

hi there. Everyone reacts differently to different things and i wouldnt personally say there is something wrong with you for reacting this way. Although i can say i would react differtly to how you have done, i know several people who would be like you. As long as yot stay in reality, know things like that arm't okay and don't behave in that way to cause danger upon someone then i think it's okay. I hope this helps a little. Take good care. Jessie

I know what it's like, I love gory things. Most people do, they just don't want to admit it when they believe it's an ACTUAL person being hurt. Why do you think horror movies with all the blood and guts are so popular?

I don't think you're odd, I have a sick sense of humor too and people think I'm weird and messed up. I just smile at them, it's funny in my opinion for people to think I'm totally insane. If it bothers you, try repressing the laughter

Take me seriously.
I dare you.

These kinds of images wouldn't bother me, either. Mind you, I'm also the kind of person to laugh during a horror movie. Everybody is just different. Nothing is wrong with you, unless you then think about killing people, then go home and start sharpening your knives, then killing them. Now THAT would be something to be concerned about!

Just embrace your sick, dark sense of humor, and find others who feel the same.
