Question ED in Ireland - May 22nd 2013, 02:33 PM

Hi everyone,

I was wandering if someone knows any support groups, places, associations, some kind of charity or whatever, in DUBLIN, for eating disorders.

I have a friend who's currently living there and it would be really helpful for her to find somewhere to go, specially if it is free..

Thanks a lot!!!!

I can't answer for the big smoke specifically, as I live quite a distance from Dublin and am not overly familiar with the city. but I'd say your friend's best bet would be Bodywhys, the nationwide eating disorder association. Most of their services are online (they have a few online programmes and an email support service, as well as a phone helpline), but they do offer support groups in a few counties that meet a couple of times each month, so she could check to see if there's one near where she lives.

I hope your friend finds the support she needs. Take care!

Not sure about ireland, but B-Eat normally do support groups in the UK. Maybe they do in Ireland, I'll have to check. Also if she has an appointment with her doctor they'll be able to give her some good ones

Take as long as you need.
