Relapsed - January 4th 2017, 01:07 PM

So a few months ago I stopped eating properly. I just felt so ugly and like I couldn't do anything to change that, so I skipped meals and exercised a lot because that was the only thing I could control about my looks. But then I started eating again properly by myself because I didn't want to starve myself. How was it fair that I was starving myself just because people tell me I'm ugly?
So I started eating properly, but last week I started again. Mainly because I've been seeing myself get uglier and uglier, and my face is so fat even though my body is "skinny". I try to avoid meals, and I try to eat as less as I can. I guess this is also because my crush always ignores me even though he used to like me too and I've seen him looking at other girls who are really pretty. I know he probably doesn't like them like that, but it hurts that he notices them when they they don't care about him like I do, and I feel like he just doesn't care about me because I'm just "soooo fucking ugly" (to quote someone's words). I just don't want to be "ugly" and "disgusting" anymore.
I just wanted to let this all out

Hi Lavern,

I completely understand where you're coming from with this. I struggled with anorexia a couple years ago and still struggle with bulimia. The best advice I can give about this is actually some advice I am following myself.

When you starve yourself, you will lose weight quickly. However, you lose it so quickly that you lose fat tissue. Once you start eating again your body will start to store the food as it's not sure when it's going to get food anymore. This means that when you start eating normal again you will gain all that weight that you lost back and more. Trust me, this happened to me.

What I'm starting to do is eating healthy, lifting weights, and exercising. This will make you lose weight a bit slower, but it's a lot healthier and it will help you keep the weight off.

I do also recommend talking to your doctor to see if they can offer other suggestions. You're always welcome to PM me if you want to.
