Unhappy in 6th period the next two days - March 30th 2010, 09:32 PM

in the past 2ish weeks I have gotten at LEAST 3 urges to flip(jockey lingo for purge). and well in 6th period for the next two days we are making something that involves pudding LOTS of peanut butter including recse cups brownies some kind of choclate or butterscoch chips and i can't remember if it contains whipped cream but whipped cream or not you get the point and an afraid even if I do NOT eat one which this is not likely to be the case but even if by some mircle it is I'm afraid I may get trigger and go to the head (bathroom) I'm pretty sure u know what I would be doing in there, so yeah what should i do. even though admitting I will probably eat one but NOT eat a snack at lunch before hand.

Personally, I just wouldn't eat it. I think eating something as rich as that sounds would make a lot of people throw up, ED or not. So just don't eat it and hopefully it won't be triggering for you? And if anyone asks why you aren't eating, you can just explain that it's too rich for you.

I don't want to discourage you to eat, so I would like to say you should just eat it and enjoy it. But I also know better and that its not that easy, if you really aren't comfortable eating it, then don't push yourself. For someone with an ED, that sort of a meal is a big step, i was scared of anything other than healthy stuff when I was suffering. It is better for you to focus on recovering in small steps. If people pressure you to take one, and you think it may trigger you, take it and say you'll have it later. I would rather you didn't eat it and got on with your day, than eat it and make yourself sick, because you will do more damage that way.
