Exhaustion? - March 16th 2013, 09:59 PM

Hi guys! I know you're not doctors but I want a general idea if I'm normal here or not.

So, earlier this week, maybe four days ago I was sick. Congestion, tiredness, etc. Next day the congestion was mostly gone and I got my ear flushed so I could hear again, but I was still so tired! Friday was pure exhaustion too. I wanted to start some of my homework and get it done with but I couldn't even comprehend anything I was so tired, so I still have yet to do it. At least I have a good week to! Today I have no cold symptoms at all and I'm still exhausted. I was asleep by 11:30 last night and woke up at 7:30 to use the bathroom, went to sleep for another hour. I went grocery shopping with my mom and was already tired out within an hour or two. So I got home and was out by 11:30 AM, and just slept until 5 PM. It's almost an hour later and I'm already tired again!

My mom thinks it's because I have my period and it was a few days late even though I'm on birth control, but I've never had this level of exhaustion from my period being late before. I've had mono before.

I mean you guys aren't doctors but is this something I should wait out a few more days and see if it gets better then see a doctor or think it's just my period? It'll be problematic if I can't do any of my homework, and I have competition on the 28th.

I would go see your doctor to be safe. Exhaustion can be caused by pretty much anything so nobody will really be able to narrow it down for you online.
There's no harm in making a doctor's appointment and just getting it checked to be safe right?

See I told my mom I'm still tired and she said it was still in my head. Either way I think I'd probably wait it out until at least my period's over so I can rule that out and go from there. But I think that if it persists I'll just keep annoying my mom about being tired until she takes me.
