Blurred vision will haunt me tomorrow. - January 12th 2010, 05:10 AM

Tomorrow I have an eye appointment at 10:45. I have no idea why my mom picked one so early, but yeah. I have to wake up at 10 AM. I usually wake up around 1 PM and if I wake up any earlier, I'm totally drained and robotic. Some people can just go to sleep a few hours earlier the next night and wake up at the right time, but I'm not that type of person. It takes everything for me to fall asleep, so I usually end up passing out from exhaustion. I'm scared, though, that tomorrow I'll be so sleep deprived that my vision will be seriously messed up and I'll get the craziest prescription ever. Or am I totally overthinking things and it won't happen?

Waitin' for my ruca.

I think you're over thinking it =].
Doctors know that their patients are tired in the mornings. Also, blurry vision in the morning isn't really internal. It goes away within an hour at most. If you wanna be extra certain- which is always good- tell your doctor that you just woke up, that it's early for you, and that you're concerned that your blurry "morning vision" will affect the outcome of your tests.

I'm sure that the optician will understand if you explain to them. Try to take a shower to wake yourself up and be sure to have a good breakfast to be as awake as you can be. It might be a good idea to see a doctor about your sleeping pattern and how to get into a good pattern, which I'm sure would be beneficial to you, especially in the current situation.
It won't be as bad as you think, try not to worry.
