Unhappy comfort eating - September 4th 2010, 08:06 PM

how do i stop???? i just have no self control, i eat and i eat and i just feel so unhealthy and unfit. can anyone give me any advice please?

B.O.Y - Beware Of You

Where exactly did the whole B.O.Y thing come from?
I came up with it cause I wanted something that reminded me that I have the ability… power… (whatever you want to call it)… to build myself up or tear myself down. I’ve done an incredible job at doing both. And it’s my choice which one I want to be better at. - Hayley Williams

It's a tough one to stop I also do it mainly when I'm bored
But I found that having a little hobby helps, when ever I get bored I usually go play some Wii or call some friend to distract me from going in the kitchen you can also take the sweets away from the house you will be less temped if its no sweets.

Everyone is born right-handed. Only the greatest overcome it.

When you feel sad/bored/worried and want to comfort eat keep yourself busy! Talk to someone, put a film on, listen to some music! If you go up to your room away from the food that helps too. I always find that if I distract myself for a while then i forget about it and when I feel a little better the urge is gone

Gum. Lots and lots of gum. I'm a comfort eater myself, but I find that just the chewing motion is enough to make me happy. I go through like 5 packs of Trident a week x3

’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the [mome raths] outgrabe.

When I'm upset, Ben and Jerry and I have a party. What helps me is go dance or work out instead. It'll make you feel better. In the wise words of Elle Woods,
"Endorphins make you happy, and happy people just don't shoot their husbands."

When you work out endorphins are released into your blood stream, making you feel happy! Good luck!
